The KBike is designed by Kent Maerz in Canada. He is a fellow driver, and has driven pony teams all the way up through draft horse teams. When he downsized to a Shetland pony he wanted a vehicle his pony would enjoy as much as he would! Something sturdy enough to bomb around the mountains and balanced enough that hitching and driving was a breeze ... enter the KBike!!

We all share a passion for these small but mighty creatures and want to advocate for them - they can do so much with the right equipment!!

The KBike works for minis from 28" tall to ponies 46" tall!!

This bike will also fit those in between ponies, 39 -42". This size pony can be very hard to find carts for. They aren't minis and they aren't quite what some may consider ponies. They can be known as the "inbetweeners". Because of the customization available with the KBike, we can dial in the fit - balancing is a non-issue!

The KBike weighs 55 pounds with the boat seat and the large wheels. It is built a little beefier to withstand some vigorous driving over varied and difficult terrain and works great for the larger ponies.

**Please keep in mind, you will need quick release shackles to attach your traces to the single tree. You can order those on my website!

One of the MOST asked questions is What harness do I need for my KBike? Here is a blog to answer that: What harness do I need for my KBike?

The USA KBike has a shaft design that is similar to its Canadian counterpart, yet unique. The shaft angles are the same, however the actual bend is a signature of the fabricator and the tools they use. Quality, precision and pride go into every process in making a USA KBike!

Also we used a different set screw for the shafts and the stirrups. A black oxide alloy hex head set screw. They are easy to loosen and tighten using an allen wrench!!

**We are not able to make the footbasket at this time. It is cost prohibitive for us to have our fabricator make them. Not to mention how expensive shipping is. We are very sorry about this as that is a wonderful part of the design of this little bike, the fact that you can use it as a training cart. I am 100% aware of that and am very sad that we could not work that out at this time.

The KBike Pricing:

In 2023 we sold the KBike for $2850 + $375 for shipping

We are hoping to be able to keep the price the same in 2024. It will all depend on manufacturing costs and material cost. The price will be announced when we are ready to produce the first batch of KBikes in the spring! Please email me to be put on the wait list for this first batch of 2024.
